Clean rails. Smooth motion.
Dust and old grease build up on your printer's steel rods, linear rails and lead screws, adding drag and wear. The AxisGlide Pro kit lets you strip that grime off and lay down a thin, even film of PTFE synthetic oil in a couple of minutes, with no drips and no mess.
What's in the kit
- 3x × PTFE synthetic oil pen with a brush tip for precise, controlled application
- 2 × axis cleaning ropes to wrap around rods, rails and screws and pull off dust and old grease
- Step-by-step instructions printed on the pack
Works on
- Steel smooth rods
- Linear rails
- Lead screws (Z-axis)
- Also useful on CNC and laser engraver rails, sewing machines, hinges and drawer slides
Not for carbon-fiber rods or plastic bushings, such as the X/Y carbon rods on Bambu Lab P1 and X1 series printers. Clean those only. Always check your printer maker's maintenance guide first.
How to use (printer off)
- Strip – Wrap a cleaning rope around the rod, rail or screw. Pull back and forth to lift dust and old grease.
- Prime – Twist the pen base slowly until oil wets the brush. The base twists one way only; don't force it back.
- Glide – Brush a thin, even coat onto the clean metal. Move the axis through its full travel, then wipe off any excess.
Why a pen?
Bottles and syringes make it easy to over-oil, and excess oil collects dust. The brush-tip pen puts oil only where you want it and fits in a drawer or toolbox.
